What about Environmental Justice?

We believe that our congregation creates many opportunities for individuals and groups to work to help our ailing planet. In addition, we believe that the present challenges of Global Warming emphasize the need for increased attention to Environmental Justice.

Environmental Justice challenges us to take action to create a just society, so that the benefits we receive in our lives do not come at the expense of others. The Unitarian Universalist Church of Asheville congregation works within the church setting as well as within a myriad of community activities to strive to provide equitable access to healthy living environments for all.
