Welcome to Mountain Memories, the narrative of our 2006 Church Retreat at The Mountain located at 4200 feet elevation in the Southwest corner of North Carolina. Our weekend began on a beautiful Friday in late September. The clear, sunny skies were a good omen of the days to come.

We entered this Mountain retreat with only our trust and an adventurous spirit. We left it as a church family. Many of us could hardly wait to begin planning for next year. Be sure to see the Community Quilt we created on display in Sandburg Hall.
