Membership classes are generally held four to six times a year, and are led by our minister, Rev. Mark Ward, and the Membership Committee. They may be held on Saturday or Sunday afternoon. Notices of upcoming classes are announced in the newsletter and the calendar of events, and sign-up sheets are available in Sandburg Hall. Childcare is available.
The class consists of a brief introduction to Unitarian Universalism and the forming of the Asheville UU community and how we are organized. We discuss why we have come here and the meaning of Membership and Friendship at UUCA. After an open question & answer session, we have a brief tour of the facilities. An opportunity to join the community as a Member or Friend is available after the class.
