Inclement Weather on a Sunday Morning?

Filler

In setting this policy, the Board is trying to balance our concern for the safety of our congregation’s members and friends and our desire to hold a scheduled service for those who are able to attend.

Every attempt will be made to keep the church open, for at least the 11:15am service, even if only for coffee and conversation in Sandburg Hall. However, no one who is scheduled to be involved in either the church service or religious education program is expected to risk his or her safety in order to fulfill a prior commitment.

Members, friends, and volunteers involved with Sunday morning activities should check the church's answering machine (828.254.6001) message after 7:45am on Sunday morning to learn if services and Religious Education classes will be held as scheduled or cancelled. The message on the answering machine will clearly notify all volunteers involved with Sunday morning activities whether or not they are expected to be at Church.  Information about other church-sponsored activities and events will be included as appropriate.

The Church Administrator will also send a notification to those who receive regular church emails and will add an appropriate notice on the website.
