Stewardship Fulfills our Congregational Covenant

“We promise to share the ministry of our congregation through our gifts of time, talent, and money.”

On April 21, 2010, the Board of Trustees adopted a Vision for Stewardship.  This Vision recognizes that making financial commitments to the Annual Budget Drive is but one of the ways in which we keep our promise to share the ministry of this vibrant faith community. To assure that this Vision would be implemented, the Board established a Stewardship Council.

Vision for Stewardship

  • Stewardship is a year-round function of congregational life and includes ABD, stewardship education, and planned giving.
  • Stewardship is connected to our UU identity of generosity and abundance. We are at ease with discussing money.
  • All UUCA families are involved in church activities beyond the Sunday service. More people participate at a deeper level.
  • Staff and lay responsibilities are well defined and supported.
  • Expectations for support of the congregation, with time, talents and money, are clear and accepted for all ages from day one.
  • The congregation “thinks big” and beyond ourselves with a feeling of joyful abundance.
  • Giving increases as the congregation matures spiritually, emotionally and intellectually.
